Hi there! Thanks so much for stopping by!

My name is Arden Paul Austria. I am a dad, techie, and voted best photographer in New Jersey! (by my kids)

Everything has a beginning, and my photography journey started back in 2012. My childhood best friend from the Philippines was getting married and I was blessed to be invited as part of their wedding party. (I was the best man!) I planned on simply borrowing a point-and-shoot camera for the trip since the only camera I owned was the one on my Motorola phone. However, my girlfriend (now wife) thought it would be a great idea to purchase a DSLR to have even better-quality pictures for the trip. I told her she's crazy! It was a total gamble — it would either end up as an expensive paperweight after the trip, or I would get annoyed by the weight and just leave it in the bag, or actually get stolen. Her convincing was powerful, so I bought one.

After the beautiful ceremony and all the festivities, we flew to Palawan for some family excursion time. My best friend, who I didn't know was a Director of Photography for a television station, saw my new camera while I was fumbling with the buttons. He then gave me a 10-minute crash course on exposure triangle, and simply advised me to play around on my own. On that same day, it "clicked" (no pun intended) in my head, and I fell in love with the art and science of photography. The unexpected investment became an interest. The interest grew into a hobby. The hobby developed a passion.

Nowadays, most of my free time are spent with my family. One of the many things I have learned and am constantly reminded of as a parent is that time waits for nobody, and it moves pretty fast. Mais c'est la vie!

Phone snaps are fun, easy, and definitely quick to help preserve family memories. However, I very much appreciate when those memories are captured by beautiful and captivating images. They make me happy.

So even with busy schedules and lack of sleep, I do this. My passion for photography continues to grow, and with that, I hope to make other people happy with their own photos. It's exciting stuff!

So, let's talk. Let's plan how I can help you create lifetime memories for you and your family.

Cheers,
Arden
